The
School of Business and Public Policy (SBPP) at the University of Papua New
Guinea (UPNG) has been commended by students for its transparency and the ease
with which it shares information. The school is recognized for keeping students
well-informed and fostering a supportive academic environment.
Ms. Shanna Mitti, a third-year student majoring in
Banking and Finance, expressed her appreciation for the school's staff.
"The staff of the School of Business and Public Policy are very helpful in
providing information
and are extremely transparent with students," she said. "Even the
students within the school are very open in their approach, which creates a
great sense of networking."
However,
while Ms. Mitti praised the school's openness, she also highlighted an area for
improvement: the process for appealing grades. "One thing the school needs
to improve on is the delay in handling student appeals regarding their
transcripts," she noted. "The system is slow, and it takes up
students' time and effort, especially when it comes to appealing for a change
of grade."
Despite
this challenge, Ms. Mitti remains positive about her experience over the past
three years, describing the SBPP as one of the most transparent schools at
UPNG. She hopes that improvements in the appeals process will further enhance
the overall student experience.
The
feedback from students like Ms. Mitte reflects both the strengths and areas for
growth within the SBPP, underscoring the importance of maintaining a
transparent and efficient system for student services.
