policymakers and academics at the 2024 PNG Update held at the University of
Papua New Guinea on August 21-22. This year’s event, themed “Securing a Stable
Environment for Growth and Development,” aimed to address the pressing economic
and public policy challenges facing the nation.
During the two-day conference, experts shared insights on a variety of
critical issues, including governance, gender equity, and climate change. Dr.
Kinkin emphasized the importance of strategic management in navigating Papua
New Guinea’s socio-economic landscape, arguing that data-driven approaches are
essential for sustainable development.
